Head of School

Tinisha Wynn

My name is Tinisha Wynn, and I’m excited to join the Illuminate Montessori community as Head of School. I look forward to partnering with the incredible children, families, and educators who make our school such a special place.

My journey in early childhood education began more than 15 years ago as a substitute teacher. I quickly discovered a passion for helping young children learn and grow, and that passion has guided my career ever since. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles from classroom teacher to director, each one deepening my commitment to creating nurturing, engaging environments where children thrive and educators feel supported.

I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science with a concentration in Children and Families, continuing to strengthen the knowledge and experience I bring to educational leadership. I believe strong relationships with children, families, and staff are the foundation of a successful school community.

As a lifelong Boston resident, it’s especially meaningful to serve families in the city I’ve always called home. Outside of work, my greatest joy is being a mom to my son, who inspires me every day with his curiosity, resilience, and love of learning. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with the Illuminate Montessori community and supporting every child’s educational journey.
